FEDERICO CARBONELL

Principal Designer Federico Carbonell is also a professionally trained Registered Nurse who is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He pursued an education in the Arts and Sciences while studying at Rutgers University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Art History with a future goal to somehow meld his experience as a clinician with his love for the arts. While gaining many years of experience as a nurse, he realized the importance of healthy design concepts for both patients and practitioners. Sparking an interest within the healthcare community, Federico formed his own healthcare consulting firm in 2007 providing Expert Consultation services to hospitals, private practitioner offices, fitness clubs as well as various health and wellness centers.

Federico's work caught the attention of Michael Herold as they shared a common interest in making spaces personable, uniquely creative and functional. In 2009, he joined forces with MH Design and currently acts as the Senior Vice-President of Healthcare Design and Operations. The firm's commercial and healthcare clients depend on his unique perspective of Healthy Design Concepts, which is guided by both his valuable clinical expertise and knowledge of current evidence-based best practices, yet uniquely balanced by his innate artistry.
